Recent cards (out of sequence)

Little Leaves
I CASEd this card from somewhere/someone, but do not recall from whom.  This uses the Big Shot to cut the leaves from Stampin' Up's 2009 "In Colors".  I do love the color combination.  You can't see it in this image, but the white is embossed as well.

Reflection

This is a card using the Reflection Technique.  It is my own design (for a change).

So, I think I've come a long way from that first card.  From now on, I'll post the cards according to when they were made.  As best I can remember, anyway.

My first card

Way back in September 2008, I attended my first Stampin' Up class.  Lucky for me it was a 'Back to Basics' class, which taught very basic design and technique ideas.  I'll upload the cards we made at the class in the next post.

Then I came home and made my very first on-my-own card. At this point, I had no Stampin' Up supplies at all.  I got the basic supplies at Michaels.  (I quickly learned not to do that.  Stampin' Up quality and color co-ordination is the best.)   I remember being so proud of this card.  If you look closely, you can see that one of the flower images is popped up using a dimensional. I think I actually sent a copy to someone.

Just for comparison, I'm going to leap ahead to recent cards.  Then, I promise to start uploading them in the order they were made.

Well, my uploads keep failing.  Perhaps I can't add new items to a posted entry?  I'll try again with a new entry.

It's a beginning

I thought it would be nice? helpful? interesting? to post the cards that I make on a blog.  Easy to share - easy to find.  I'm going to post these in the order they were made - I think it will be interesting to see the progress I've made.

And, since I cannot upload a PDF - which is how I've saved the images so far - I have to rescan all of the cards to create JPG images.  So it will take awhile to catch up.

I do have one JPG image of a card I made in early June.  Since it's a Tri-Fold Shutter card, I couldn't scan it in.  Just to see how these things look here online, I'm going to upload that card, even though it's a fairly new one and thus out of sequence.

Tri-Fold Bunny
It's not done yet - once I decide how I'm going to use it, I need to add images or words to the other inside surfaces.  The hardest part of this card was coloring the bunny!
